First, our old MLM company had so many items to market that trying to keep up with all those products and trying to figure out which items our customers wanted -- well, it was just overwhelming.

We were told that this would be a "positive;" but for us, it was a negative. Now, we're way too busy to even think about tracking multiple products.

Second, they told us to make a list of everybody we knew and not to prejudge anyone. But, the truth is,
we found out that most people weren't interested in "working" a business.

Our limited success mainly came from the enthusiasm and excitement from the "rallies" we went to.

Third, there was really no sales training, per se, only uplines telling us,

Distributors are either provided no sales training or the training that is provided is extremely poor and ineffective.

Most of the sales methods commonly used are annoying used car salesman tactics that involve tricking, even lying, to the prospect, cramming information down their throat and hounding them for the close.

The idea that anyone can do this business leads to the "thrown-em-up-against-the wall-and-see-who-sticks" mentality that is largely responsible for the attrition rate in the network industry.

Because of the lack of good sales background, most people resort to hype and over exaggerated claims to win over customers and prospects.
